Unemployment

Unemployment for Southwest Washington Schools provides cost effective unemployment benefit claims administration for its members.  The Unemployment Pool was established to jointly fund costs incurred by members for unemployment benefits.  The Pool maximizes efficiencies by having trained staff focused on claims administration for all members.  Members of the Pool share resources for unemployment compensation claims and representation at hearings.

One representative from each member serves on the Unemployment Pool Advisory Board.  The Advisory Board has delegated authority to a five member Executive Committee, which provides oversight of general operations.
