Risk Co-Op

Risk Co-Op

Our Mission

We partner with member districts to self-insure, administer claims and to purchase excess insurance cost effectively, while also providing long-term protection from financial loss through high-quality risk management services.

Risk Co-Op

Our Risk Co-Op team is highly committed to working in partnership with members to support operations and practices that provide a safe learning environment for students, staff, and community members. We pride ourselves on being available and responsive to individual member needs. Our comprehensive risk management and loss control support and services help our members avoid and reduce risks. However, should an incident occur, we self-insure, work hard to find coverage, and process claims in a prompt and cost-effective manner. Our members are well informed and included in the decision-making process.

We believe local control and regional support is the key to managing successful cooperatives. By working together, we help our members leverage financial and operational resources to provide stability amid a challenging and unpredictable insurance market. The Risk Co-Op makes no profit from schools. Our pricing is transparent and consistent among all members and there are no hidden costs. Our primary objective is to help eliminate claims related expenses so schools can focus their finances on their primary goal – educating kids.
